Mishrka Bucha, a student in her fourth year of Psychology at Brock University who also had a minor in French Studies, passed away recently, and its community is in mourning over her passing. Bucha was a well-liked and active member of the Brock community. She was recognised for her participation in a wide range of activities that took place on campus.
It was commonly known that she was a Don in Brock’s Quarry View Residence and that she had previously served as an International Student Ambassador. She was an international student from Mauritius, and she was recognized for aiding her classmates.
As an ambassador, Bucha played a significant part in supporting overseas students who were either considering attending Brock or were already enrolled there by discussing her experiences at Brock and providing assistance with the adjustment to life in Canada.
As a student-athlete, Bucha was a part of the Brock women’s fencing team. Additionally, she had worked as a student-staff member for both the Brock Library and Career Services.
