Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has confirmed the identity of the victim in a tragic fatal collision that occurred on Sunday afternoon near Swansea, South Carolina. Marion Phillip Glymph, a 68-year-old resident of Lexington, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place at the intersection of Highway 6 (SC-6) and Martin Neese Road.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the collision happened around 4:40 p.m. According to authorities, Glymph was driving a 2003 Dodge van traveling north on Martin Neese Road. At the same time, a 2015 Nissan SUV was heading east on SC-6 when the two vehicles collided at the intersection. The exact details of what led to the collision are still under investigation.
