Phoenixville police officer Arthur Scena IV tragically passed away in a car accident on Sunday night in Warminster Township, Bucks County.
The accident, which happened at the intersection of Street Road and St. David’s near a Dunkin’ Donuts, was announced by the Phoenixville Police Department on Monday.
Officer Scena, a dedicated public servant, had been part of the Phoenixville Police Department since 2019 and held a variety of roles throughout his career, including positions with the Montgomery County Prison as a correctional officer, the Philadelphia Housing Authority, and the Chester City Police Department.
Scena’s commitment to law enforcement and his community was evident in every role he held. Known for his unwavering dedication, Scena’s colleagues describe him as compassionate and hard-working. His tragic death leaves a profound loss for his family, friends, and fellow officers.
He leaves behind a wife and two daughters, who are now receiving support from the community. A GoFundMe campaign, launched by Michael Gray—a close family friend and organizer—has already raised over $25,000, reflecting the depth of community support for Scena’s family during this difficult time.
Gray revealed that Scena had been on his way home from the funeral of a fellow officer who had passed away from cancer, a further testament to Scena’s loyalty to his profession and colleagues.
The crash that took his life occurred only minutes from his home, adding an even more heartbreaking note to an already tragic situation. Gray also highlighted Scena’s involvement with the Bullet’s Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, where he actively coordinated memorial rides and fundraising events.
