An 18-year-old teenager has died after a fight-led-stabbing at the Manor High School in Texas on Tuesday. Manor Police Department said Darrin Loving died from a blunt forced wound to the chest.
18-year-old Mac Brown Mbah Mbanweil has been booked into the Travis county Jail for murder related charge. On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at approximately 12:47 PM, the Manor Police Department was dispatched to assist the Manor ISD Police Department on an aggravated assault at Manor Senior High School, located at 14832 N FM 973, Manor, Texas.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim, Darrin Loving (B/M, DOB: 01/05/2006), had been stabbed in the chest. The fire department was on the scene performing life-saving measures. The school was placed on lockdown during the incident.
The suspect, Mac Brown Mbah Mbanweil (B/M, DOB: 05/05/2006), was detained shortly after. Unfortunately, paramedics later confirmed that Darrin Loving had succumbed to his injuries. The Manor Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating this homicide. Mbanwei has been arrested and charged with murder and is currently being held at the Travis County Jail.
This incident is considered isolated, with no ongoing threat to the public or students of Manor ISD. For further updates, please contact the Manor Police Department. Darren is the son of Darren Loving Sr. of Austin, Texas. According to reports, Mbanwei has been a repeated offender. He was reported for multiple assaults, bullying, and aggressive behaviours. At the time of this publication, Manor ISD has not released an official statement addressing the issue.
