Homewood, Alabama native and Renewable Energy Development Manager, Emily McDuff has tragically died. The 31-year-old passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, after a medical emergency.
According to reports, the former high school Cheerleader was pronounced dead at the hospital. The news of her demise left her family at utmost displeasure. Emily was a female engineer working to curb climate change by making our built environment more energy-efficient and eco-friendly. She was a lover of life, and family and a hardworking woman.
Who Was Emily McDuff?
Emily McDuff was born and raised in Homewood, Alabama. Emily McDuff, PE, MBA, CEM, LEED AP was an energy engineer and renewable energy developer. She combined her background in engineering, business, and community engagement to improve the sustainability of the built environment.
Emily enjoyed yoga, running, piano, travel, community events, church, and French language and culture. Until her death, Emilie worked at RWE as a Renewable Energy Development Manager. She was a graduate of The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, University of Virginia, and the Homewood High School.
