The former residence of Kyran Durnin, a missing schoolboy and suspected homicide victim, has been the subject of Gardaí searches. The property and adjacent lands in Dundalk, County Louth, have been thoroughly searched, according to the investigators.
Officers searched a shared garden between two residences in Fr Murray Park, as reported by The Irish Times. However, they were unable to locate anybody or evidence associated with the boy’s disappearance. “The search results are not being disclosed for operational purposes,” stated Gardaí in a statement. They have requested information regarding the eight-year-old’s disappearance.
“Do not exclude any information that you may possess,” they emphasized. “Please refrain from assuming that the investigation team is aware of the information you may possess.” The investigation team will embrace any information, regardless of its perceived insignificance. The development occurred after the Garda Commissioner designated the suspected murder case as “extraordinary,” stating that he had never encountered one of its nature in his 40-year tenure. Drew Harris stated that the disappearance of the schoolboy is “difficult to comprehend” due to a “particular element.” He stated that the case is being pursued by investigators with “full vigor and resources.”
Gardaí initiated a homicide investigation last week, months after Kyran and his mother were reported missing. The mother of the child has been located; however, Kyran’s whereabouts are currently unknown, and it is assumed that he has passed away.
