Lauren Holbrook, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, and a graduate of Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy has tragically passed away.
She was confirmed dead by a close family friend in a statement that read “Please be in prayers for my sweet Bestie Myra Franklin! Her granddaughter Lauren Holbrook had a fatal accident! She was a beautiful & sweet girl!”
Who was Lauren Holbrook?
Originally from Talladega, Alabama, Lauren Holbrook has been a resident of Birmingham since her first year in college. Before enrolling in pharmacy school at Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy, where she earned her Master of Public Health and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees, she finished two years of pre-pharmacy study at Samford University.
Lauren held the positions of Phi Lambda Sigma Vice President and APhA-ASP International Vice President while she was a pharmacy student. She also participated in SNPhA, SSHP, and ASHP.
Lauren enjoyed reading, travelling, working out, and dining at neighbourhood eateries and coffee shops in her free time. Her professional interests include primary care and cancer, with an emphasis on ambulatory care.
She intends to work as a clinical pharmacist or pursue a PGY-2 in ambulatory care after completing her residency. Her parents, and particularly her grandma Myra Franklin, loved and treasured her.
